Vincent Dureuil produces the only cult wines of Côte Chalonnaise.
He returned to his family's domaine in 1994 and we've been fans of the wines since we opened in 2005. From the start, Dureuil has a singular focus on quality.
With that said, in recent vintages, the wines have hit another level. The wines have gotten even more precise and lifted boasting a subtle refinement that makes the wines really stand out.
As William Kelley's note above makes clear, Dureuil-Janthial's 2020 collection is an amazing cast of wines. Across the board, they have a nearly magical clarity and impression of completeness.
The 2020 Maizières has a pristine expression and a zingy core of minerality. It's an expansive and soaring wine with an airy finesse. The tension between refinement and sheer impact is impressive.
Before closing, I should mention that this is a modest parcel and Dureuil-Janthial is very sought after. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.

William Kelley, The Wine Advocate: "Aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, peach, white flowers and nutmeg introduce the 2020 Rully Maizières Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming wine with a broad attack that segues into a fleshy, vibrant core, concluding with a penetrating finish. As readers may remember, this sunny, gently sloping parcel is where Dureuil typically begins his harvest."
