The wine has an incredible amount of precision, class, and harmony.
Much like the 2022, the 2023 is a brilliant example of the wine. The poise and intricate structure are really extraordinary.
Vincent Dureuil returned to his family's domaine in 1994, and we've been fans of the wines since we opened in 2005. From the start, Dureuil had a singular focus on quality. The wines work on a scale and a level of precision that is jaw-dropping.
This goes a long way in explaining why Vincent Dureuil produces the only cult wines of Côte Chalonnaise.
The 1er Cru Clos du Meix Cadot has long been one of the domaine's most important sites. It's a warmer south-facing lieu-dit that produces multifaceted wines of depth and finesse. The 2023 is a textbook example of Meix Cadot.
