Bertheau's 2018 possesses really impressive detail, elegance, and seductive texture. In this way, it's a classic example of the wine. However, the 2018 boasts a concentration and punch that's unusual for the wine. There's a blatant minerality and plenty of depth. The total package is really compelling.
Bertheau's are some of the Burgundies that I'm most fond of. They check all of the boxes for me. The 2018 Chambolle is a perfect introduction to what makes Bertheau's wines so compelling.
