There may be no one in the village of Chassagne making more compelling wines. He takes Chassagne's floral inflected richness and makes it explode with complexity with beautifully clear layers of stone fruits, flowers, spice, and wet stone.
Abbaye de Morgeot is a choice parcel of the Morgeot 1er Cru. Compared to the rest of Morgeot, you sense a distinctive grandeur of scale and refinement.
The 2019 Abbaye de Morgeot Cuvée Clement et Emma promises to be a stunning edition of the wine. As quoted by Burghound, Pierre Yves Colin says this about 2019: "I honestly love this vintage for its energy and excellent terroir transparency." Expect intensity married to purity and rigor with a painstaking detail.
