"Flat-out stunning Champagne" -Antonio Galloni
Fac-Simile is one of the rarest and most hunted wines in all of Champagne. The quantities that we find are always very modest.
There are few, if any, producers in Champagne who have elevated Meunier the way that Prévost has. Prévost's village of Gueux has a very specific terroir - the soils are sandy and calcareous clay and are uniquely studded with tiny fossils that date back 45 million years.
Fac-Simile is an astonishing example of what can be done with Pinot Meunier and Rosé Champagne in general. There's an intensity allied with an energetic tension that amazes. Everything is poised, crystal clear, and harmonious. Currents of ripe citrus meld with floral notes, smoke, subtle cherry fruit, and not very subtle chalky minerality. All of this is always rendered with perfect clarity.
In any vintage, Fac-Simile is one of the greatest rosé Champagnes that we taste. The 2017 is a particularly stunning example. It's so finessed and complicated.
I imagine that most of you are well aware of what Prévost is able to achieve every vintage. There's no point in dwelling any further. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media: "Jérôme Prévost’s (2017) Extra-Brut Fac-Simile Rosé is a flat-out stunning Champagne. That’s pretty much all there is to it. Soaring in its aromatic intensity, with dazzling purity, the 2017 builds effortlessly in the glass, revealing tremendous depth and a level of nuance that is truly remarkable in this vintage. Sweet dried cherry, crushed rocks and floral notes all build in the glass, but the 2017 is most remarkable for its alluring beauty and total seductiveness. I loved it. Jérôme Prévost disgorged this bottle à la volée, so it is not technically the commercial release, but wow!"
