D'Angerville's Caillerets is Volnay at its most painstakingly precise. It does not lack in intensity or length but delivers these with a subtlety and a gorgeous, slow-to-unfold complexity.

For a good number of Burgundy experts, Caillerets is one of the best sites in Volnay. Many believe that if Volnay were to have Grand Crus, Caillerets would be at the top of the list. D'Angerville is the master of this site.
Sadly, d'Angerville has a mere 0.65ha in Caillerets. D'Angerville's Caillerets is seriously scarce. Every vintage, I buy as much as possible.
The 2022 Caillerets is simply a dazzling Burgundy full of finesse, tension, and subtle depth. There's a jaw-dropping amount of clarity and soaring elegance. The amount of lift, detail, and subtle complexity announces that this is an extraordinary vintage for the Caillerets.
I'm going to bring this to a close. D'Angerville is one of our favorite producers. The 2022 Caillerets is another example of this domaine hitting the bullseye. I'm very happy to have another opportunity to offer this.Â

The lacy, delineated and more mineral-driven flavors are also delicate while retaining excellent punch and drive on the balanced, firm and classy finale.
