Last weekend, we offered d'Angerville's stunning 2022 Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Ducs. It was obvious that word is out about this collection.
As we said on Saturday, d'Angerville's 2022s should not be missed.
Today, I'm happy to offer d'Angerville's 2022 1er Crus Taillepieds and Champans.
Taillepieds is one of d'Angerville's wines that people get obsessed with. This wine is all about raciness - it's full of stony minerality and has an intricate depth. The Taillepieds plot sits just above Champans and is steeply sloped with poor, rocky soil.
The 2022 Taillepieds delivers the site's signature minerality and cut in a bold fashion. There's a kinetic energy that's presented with a beautiful sophistication.
Champans possesses an explosive complexity with dark fruits, exotic spices, and a mineral undercurrent. D'Angerville's Champans is one of Burgundy's distance runners.
The 2022 Champans is outstanding. It's deep and structured with nice precision. Burghound is totally correct when he writes "this is outstanding."
I'm a huge fan of d'Angerville's 2022s. I'm excited to be able to offer the wine. As I said earlier, these should not be missed.
