There's no doubt that Métras has become the cult producer of Beaujolais. We've worked with the wines since the 2007 vintage and with each passing year, it's become increasingly difficult to find the wines in quantity.
This is especially the case for the Fleurie. Currently, there are only two other listings for any vintage of the Fleurie VV.
Today, at the lowest price around, we're happy to offer Métras' 2019 Fleurie VV at $79.95 per bottle.
The Fleurie VV is the bottling that sums up Métras' style the best. There's a soaring and totally gorgeous perfume and a spine of dark crushed rocks. It's a wine that explodes from the glass with violets, purple fruits, and jet-black minerality.
The 2019 combines richness with a vivacious and lifted core. There are layers of silky purple fruit along with gentle spices, earth, and the wine's tell-tale stony minerality.
This is a powerful vintage of Fleurie VV. Considering how riper vintages, like 2005 and 2015 are showing today, we expect very good things from the 2019. Please keep in mind that quantities are limited.
