The 2022 vintage allowed Foillard to produce a layered and powerful Côte du Py with a vibrant core. We love the underlying structure that pulls everything together with its stony minerality. The wine is powerful and downright gulpable at the same time.
Foillard simply has the touch with the Gamay grape. He manages to capture a purity and texture that are unparalleled. For us, picking up a couple of magnums of his Côte du Py is essential. I'm happy to have another opportunity to offer this.
