"The quality of Lamy's 2022s is excellent and should you come across an offering for them, don't hesitate." -Burghound

In recent vintages, Lamy has emerged as one of the most exciting white Burgundy producers.

The domaine has really dialed in on their sculpted and rigorous style to turn out extraordinary wines vintage after vintage. The Burghound quote above makes clear that the 2022s are yet another absolutely stellar vintage for Lamy.

Few producers hit the level of clarity and snap that Lamy did in the 2022 vintage.

The Puligny Tremblots dramatizes these qualities. There's a bright, chalky electricity to the wine. It delivers currents of citrus and is further buoyed by floral notes.

This limestone pebble-riddled site is home to one of Lamy's highly sought-after Haute Densité bottlings. Around half of the wine from the Haute Densité vineyard, which is planted at 27,000 vines per hectare (compare this to 10,000 or fewer in a conventionally planted vineyard), are included in the normal Tremblots bottling. One has to imagine that this helps to make the 2022 Tremblots such a dynamite bottle.

Lamy's wines are grandly sculpted with eye-opening rigor, and the way that it all came together in the 2022 Tremblots is pretty amazing.

Burghound: "A cooler and not quite as ripe nose reflects notes of green apple, spice, acacia blossom and lemon confit. There is good vibrancy to the noticeably finer medium weight flavors that exhibit excellent length on the bone-dry and youthfully austere finale. This is already complex though it's sufficiently tightly wound to need at least a few years of patient."
