Lafarge is a very special producer for me.
I love the entire lineup. With that said, I have a soft spot for the VS. The wine offers such nuance, depth, and finesse for the price. It’s easily one of the best deals in Volnay. The VS keeps a low profile for how much complexity and value that it offers up year-after-year.

The VS is a selection of the domaine's best village-level parcels. Compared to Lafarge’s regular Volnay, the VS seems to consolidate and amplify everything. There’s an extra layer of intensity, but it’s delivered with an almost effortless grace and elegance.
Lafarge's 2017s impress with their crackling brightness and brilliant clarity. It's difficult not to be wowed by the wine's detail, precision, and harmony. There's a completeness to the wine that's really compelling.
Lafarge's wines have an understated grace that borders on magical. I'm always excited to be able to offer the wines. Sadly, finding Lafarge in quantity has become very difficult. This is a modest parcel that I expect to sell out quickly.
