"There is excellent cut, minerality and a sophisticated texture"
2019 Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières

"The domaine fashioned some incredibly fine 2019s"

For the last handful of vintages, I've been watching Sauzet with a renewed attentiveness. They've been turning out some beautiful white Burgundies.

As Burghound's quote above makes clear, Sauzet's 2019s are absolutely gorgeous.

Today, I'm very happy to offer Sauzet's 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières for $154.95 per bottle.

Sauzet is blessed with some impressive holdings, which include Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, and Bâtard-Montrachet. With that said, I have a soft spot for their Perrières.

The 1er Cru Perrières is famous to many due to the work of Carillon. The site's signature is a mineral-drenched elegance with laser focus.

Sauzet's Perrières is energetic and tension-filled. The 2019 has a blazing minerality with a sleek classiness and a subtle, but serious complexity.

This is a storied Burgundy domaine that is now helmed by Benoît Riffault. Under his guidance, the wines of Sauzet become increasingly more refined. The 2019s represent some of his most impressive work to date.

Burghound: "Firm reduction presently dominates the underlying fruit. Otherwise there is excellent cut, minerality and a sophisticated texture to the driving middle weight flavors that tighten up immediately on the refined, highly complex and sneaky long finish. This isn't quite as concentrated but overall, there is just a bit more here."
