Simply put, Allemand's wines are very special.
It's hard not to agree with Vinous Media's Josh Raynolds when he writes: "let me state unequivocally that there is no estate in the entire Rhône Valley making finer wines."
Allemand takes Cornas to a level of expressiveness and finesse that no one can compete with.
Reynard is the old vine bottling that boasts the most intricate density of Allemand's incredibly refined wines. The 2018 shows explosive and very well detailed floral notes along with spice and savory nuances. It's beautifully multifaceted with loads of elegance.
I'll keep this short. Allemand's reputation is too big, and the quantities are too small to drag this out.

Josh Raynolds, Vinous Media: "Assertive cherry and blue fruit preserve potpourri and incense aromas display outstanding clarity and pick up exotic spice and smoky mineral flourishes with aeration. Pure focused and energetic in the mouth offering appealingly sweet blueberry cherry liqueur and violet pastille flavors that show sharp definition and depth and a hint of smoked meat. Deepens steadily on the strikingly long energetic finish which features resonating florality and chewy slowly building tannins."
