As you would guess, Perrières is a high point.
Perrières is holy ground for Chardonnay. This site produces deeply complex wines with a riveting tension, intensity, and refined elegance. Meursault doesn’t have any Grand Crus, but there’s no doubt that Perrières can rival Grand Crus from other villages.
Ballot Millot's 2019 Perrières is an absolutely thrilling example of this great site. Burghound writes, "The racy and again almost painfully intense flavors brim with both minerality and sappy dry extract." That captures the cut and depth of the wine well. It has a shocking finesse and beautiful focus.
We've been huge fans of Ballot Millot in recent vintages, but their 2019s are simply mind-blowing. The 2019 Perrières is a devastatingly good bottle of white Burgundy. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to offer this huge success.
