Petits Monts is, literally, a stone's throw away from La Romanée and Richebourg.
Drouhin turns out one of the best examples from this great site.
It delivers the velvety elegance, spice-inflected complexity, and outright class that you'd expect from its neighbors.
Drouhin's Petits Monts is seamless, dripping with class, and presented with pitch-perfect harmony. Like Roumier's Cras and Fourrier's CSJ, this is one of those 1er Crus with a rabid following.
Drouhin's plot in Petits Monts is farmed biodynamically and worked by horse and plow as there's no path for a tractor, and all harvested by hand. Véronique Drouhin is convinced that the farming has elevated this site.
Drouhin's 2022s are stunning. They are beautifully refined and gorgeously textured. The 2022 Petits Monts is utterly pure, possessing a jaw-dropping length and impeccable breeding.
Petits Monts is one of my favorite bottles from Drouhin. I'm not alone. In any vintage, this is a superb expression of red Burgundy. The 2022 is especially brilliant. I'm happy to offer it at sharp pricing.

Burghound: "This is also exuberantly spicy and quite floral as well with its blend of exotic tea, red and dark raspberry, soy and sandalwood scents. The sleek, delicious and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors possess both a taut muscularity and evident minerality while culminating in a powerful and strikingly long finish. This beautifully balanced effort is a Petits Monts of grace and class."
