We rarely get to offer Raveneau's MdT. When we do, a sellout is pretty much guaranteed.
Along with Dauvissat, Raveneau is the master of Chablis. Montée de Tonnerre is a special site. It is technically a 1er Cru vineyard, the wine has a density and size to it that humbles most of the Grand Crus.
The 2017 vintage in Chablis is seriously impressive. The wines deliver richness and presence with an intense salty, Chablisienne minerality coursing through it.
The 2017 MdT combines a saturating palate presence with a steely elegance and striking minerality. The profile is intense but ultra finessed, delivering notes of florals, saline, citrus, stone, and spice with dazzling clarity. For all of its grandeur, it flaunts incredible detail, class, and refinement.
I’ve had countless old bottles of MdT, and it’s always a mesmerizing experience. Unfortunately, Raveneau’s status means that finding the wines in quantity has become nearly impossible. Today’s offer constitutes a tiny parcel that we expect to disappear quickly. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.

Burghound: "Here too soft wood is present on the wonderfully floral and citrus imbued aromas that are laced with hints of mineral reduction and quinine. The gorgeously textured medium-bodied flavors possess much better depth and persistence on the well-balanced finale. This classy effort should be lovely and age gracefully for years."
