When it comes to Meursault, Lafon has few peers.
You'd have to look towards Coche and Roulot. Every time I taste a bottle of Lafon, it's clear that the domaine is at the top of its game.

Today, I'm happy to offer Lafon's 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Les Porusots.
Lafon's 2022s are beautiful. They combine power and a suave joyfulness with painstaking rigor and tension.
The 1er Cru Porusots is an east-facing vineyard with deep clay soils. The site produces lavish, layered, and deeply structured wines. Lafon endows this site with serious muscularity and represents the pinnacle of this site.
The 2022 Porusots has an incredible refinement. There's beautiful verve and structure, along with a profound textural complexity. The combination makes for an absolutely thrilling bottle of white Burgundy. Vinous Media's Neal Martin calls the wine "poised and pure," and that serves as a nice summary.
I'll wrap this up. It's clear that many Burgundy buyers are aware that few domaines are working at the level that Lafon currently is. I'm happy to have another opportunity to offer this.

Neal Martin, Vinous Media: "The 2022 Meursault Les Porusots 1er Cru has a sophisticated bouquet with crushed limestone infusing citrus fruit mixed with yellow flowers and a little undergrowth. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity. This feels harmonious, lovely, poised and pure, with hints of tropical fruit decorating yet not defining the finish. Superb."
