There are few producers as sought after as Julian Haart. In no time, he catapulted into the top echelon of German wine. Allocations are typically doled out in bottles or just a couple of cases.
Above all, Julian is considered one of the rare masters of the Kabinett genre. There are few people who have focused so sharply, few who have been willing to put in the enormous amount of work necessary to make this "simple" style of wine at the level he does.

As the Mosel Fine Wines quote above makes clear, Haart's 2020 Kabinetts are stunning. We feel very fortunate to have landed enough of his Goldtröpfchen Kabinett for a modest offering.
In 2020, the Mosel turned out incredibly strong Kabinetts. Haart's Goldtröpfchen Kabinett is utterly clear, perfectly proportioned, and possess a buoyant finesse. It has profound textural complexity. This is an utterly brilliant Kabinett.
His colorful biography provides an explanation and helps to reveal some of Haart's intensity and focus. Dropping out of school to learn cooking, Julian ended up working at GästeHaus Klaus Erfort, one of the finest restaurants in Germany. Soon enough he turned to wine and entered a series of wine apprenticeships that are nothing short of unbelievable: Egon Müller, Klaus Peter Keller, Werner Schönleber, and Rheinhard Löwenstein.

A spicy and reductive feel gives way to fruity scents of pear, quince, anise, and almond cream on the nose. The wine proves superbly juicy and well balanced on the fully fruity and creamy palate yet the finish has the lightness and freshness of Kabinett. This is a beautiful expression of Kabinett in the making."
