It is an exciting villages level white Burgundy. It combines seriousness with an irresistible deliciousness that's rarely encountered in white Burgundy.
In 2021, I named their 2019 Puligny my Wine Of The Year. Having just sent my 2024 Wine Of The Year, it is fitting to focus in on Bachelet-Monnot. The wines are just awesome.
For the past decade, things have clicked into high gear at Bachelet-Monnot. Each vintage the wines seem to go from strength to strength.
That is certainly the case with the 2022s. They are jaw-droppingly good wines. We are in total agreement with Burghound when he writes: "This is an excellent group of 2022 whites and worth your interest."
The 2022 has the wine's signature of gentle citrus-infused minerality that's delivered with luminous precision. It's tense and electric. I like the wine's pointed drive and high-toned finesse.
Bachelet-Monnots are revelatory expressions of Burgundy. The 2022 Puligny highlights how beautiful and captivating these wines are.
