Things at Leflaive have obviously kicked into high gear.
Leflaive has long been one of the benchmark producers of white Burgundy. The wines that they produced in the 1970s and 1980s can be magical. Today, the domaine is turning out wines that harken back to this golden era for the domaine.
Currently, they are simply producing some of the greatest expressions of white Burgundy around.
Today, I'm happy to offer Leflaive's 2021 Puligny-Montrachet, a wine that's utterly captivating and profoundly transcends its villages designation.
This is a wine that I strongly encourage you to try at such a sharp price.
Leflaive's 2021s are astounding. Burghound sums up the collection nicely when he writes: "The Leflaive 2021s are brilliant."
The 2021 Puligny makes their success in this vintage blantantly obvious. It's multifaceted and subtly complex, for sure. However, it's the wine's mineral purity and finely etched tension that make it stand out. There's a blazing intensity to the wine that I really love.
Leflaive is clearly firing on all cylinders right now. I'm very excited to offer such an incredible example of villages level Puligny. Don't miss it.
