"This is clearly a Pomerol of real pedigree"
2010 Château Trotanoy Pomerol

Trotanoy is one of my favorite Bordeaux.

In great vintages, like 2010, the wine can be staggeringly good.

The 2010 Bordeaux vintage is one of my favorites of the past couple of decades. It's a year that Trotanoy really shined.

Trotanoy is one of those special wines that seems to hit the senses from many angles. It's seductively textured, incredibly classy, and possesses breathtaking clarity.

The 2010 Bordeaux vintage amazingly combines power and verve. There's the concentration and suave texture of a riper vintage with the finesse of a cooler one. The total package is truly profound.

In 2010, Trotanoy is epic. There's a silky and somewhat polished mid-palate with a formidable underlying structure. This is backed by a glorious acid backbone. I really like how the wine announces its aristocratic structure with both boldness and grace.

The 2010 Trotanoy promises to age amazingly well. It's easy to imagine it seeing its 50th birthday. This all-star effort shouldn't be missed.

Neal Martin, Vinous Media: "The 2010 Trotanoy is surly and backward on the nose, clearly a Pomerol demanding extended cellaring. The palate is medium-bodied, its bold tannic chassis just beginning to soften. This has a superb bead of acidity threaded through the bell pepper-tinged, tertiary black fruit with a gentle but insistent grip on the finish. This is clearly a Pomerol of real pedigree and I adore its truffly aftertaste. Excellent."
