This bottle punches well above its weight class. It boasts undeniable energy and detail without sacrificing richness. In any vintage, there's impressive drive and presence.
The 2022 is a stunning example of the wine. The Meursault has plenty of intensity, but it's the fineness and lift that really stand out. We agree with Burghound when he writes, "This is excellent and worth checking out."
Ballot Millot’s roots in Burgundy are seriously deep: they began amassing vineyards back in the 17th century. The domaine has been one to watch ever since Charles Ballot took over in 2001. When Ballot took over, he began reducing yields, improving farming practices, and updating equipment. The level of quality rose dramatically.
Beginning with the 2014, it's been exciting to watch Ballot-Millot go from strength to strength. The 2022 shows the Meursault gaining even more precision and class. This shouldn't be missed, especially at this sharp price.
