Today, I'm happy to offer the 2022 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Malconsorts.
Malconsorts is one of the greatest 1er Crus of Burgundy. It is in the shadows of La Tâche. The 1er Cru can achieve power, elegance, and weightlessness that's very similar to Grand Crus.
Dujac's Les Malconsorts is epic. It possesses an incredible brooding richness married to ethereal aromatics. As Burghound's note above makes clear, the 2022 is dynamite. Its architecture is awe-inspiring and the amount of refined aromatic intensity that it brings is amazing. For all of its intensity, the 2022 manages to maintain a gorgeous, silken elegance.
Dujac's wines function at a very elite level. Even by this standard, the 2022 Malconsort is special. I'm happy to have another opportunity to offer.
