"This is very classy juice and also built-to-age." -Burghound
It's been many years since we've offered Fevre's Chablis. For the past few vintages, we've been quietly watching Fevre turn out astonishing collections.
The strength of Fevre's 2019s and the sharp pricing of these Preuses magnums brought us off the sidelines.
In general, what makes the 2019 Chablis so exciting is how the wines combine power and presence with verve and minerality. There's a textural imprint of chalk and a beautiful saline streak.
Fevre's 2019s combine incredible cut and loads of Chablisienne minerality with serious impact. Everything is woven into a beautiful harmony.
Preuses is easily one of our favorite expressions of Chablis. If Les Clos is all muscle and force, Les Preuses will beguile with its finesse. It's a wine of supreme length and clarity; it is a fine-tuned expression of Chablis. Les Preuses is a south-facing vineyard known for producing regally mineral and floral wines. It is linear and more detailed.
In other words, Preuses is for purists. And Fevre's 2019 Preuses is a purist's example of the site. Their Preuses is profoundly oceanic and has a high-toned kinetic energy. There's impressive length and structure.
Before wrapping up, I should warn you that these magnums are extremely limited. I don't expect these to stick around for long. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.

Burghound: "This too could be from nowhere else except Chablis with its citrus-tinged aromas of tidal pool, white flowers and shellfish. The racy, intense and painfully intense larger-scaled flavors possess cuts-like-a-knife delineation on the bone-dry and super-saline finish where a distinct bitter lemon quality slowly emerges. This is very classy juice and also built-to-age."
