In any vintage, Clos des Bouchères is a thrilling wine that combines explosive power with a cool precision and intricate delicacy. The wine always amazes with the way it combines saturating minerality with a dazzling gracefulness. It has a tactile saline impression with beautiful delineation and incredible length.
Still, the 2024 is special. It's very easy to imagine Roulot thriving in this vintage. The 2024 white Burgundies have an incredible amount of nerve, clarity, and concentration.
The 2024 Bouchères drives home the extent to which Roulot succeeded. It possesses so much elegance, vividness, and punch. I'm really impressed by how it's enveloping and gripping while also remaining light on its feet.
I'll wrap this up. Roulot is one of the masters of white Burgundy, and the 2024 Clos des Bouchères shows him at the top of his game.
