I've always been a huge fan of the 1990 vintage at Maison Veuve Clicquot. They seem to have understood this excellent vintage in a way that few others did.
The fact that I can offer this modestly-sized parcel of perfectly stored ex-maison 1990 Veuve is something that I'm really happy about.
Veuve Clicquot's library of old vintages is legendary. In 2010, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the house's first vintage-dated champagne, Veuve began releasing specially selected wines from their cellar that had blossomed with age. The 1990 Cave Privée stands as a monument to the wisdom of the selection process and shows the heights that can be reached with time in the cellar.
