Under-The-Radar, For Now - 2017 White Burg Stunner:
2017 Génot-Boulanger Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères

Posted by Ian McFadden

Génot-Boulanger has become a pillar of the store. In 2017, they hit a new level that demanded an offering.

When you factor in price and complexity, the Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères is the star of Génot-Boulanger's 2017 lineup.

I'm happy to offer the 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouchères for $129.95 per bottle and $124.95 in 3-packs.

I've drunk multiple bottles of the 2017 Bouchères, and they've been stunning. I was really happy to be able to find enough quantity for an offering. It's a wine of incredible poise and finesse.

Génot-Boulanger is a 4th generation family estate currently run by Aude and Guillaume Lavollée. Since they took over in 2008, we've watched the quality at the domaine soar. The combination of prime holdings and meticulous winemaking has recently put Génot-Boulanger on the map for serious Burgundy drinkers.

While Bouchères always flaunts incredible depth and complexity, the brightness and harmony of the 2017 is gorgeous. It combines a deep, saturating minerality with a sense of elegance and grace. The wine offers vibrant notes of flowers, smoke, slate, citrus and stone fruits, delivered with extra fine detail.

Génot-Boulanger has been cruising under-the-radar, but with the recent series of outstanding vintages, that won't last for long. Over the past few years, there has been no other Burgundy producer that more customers have thanked us for introducing them to. The 2017 Bouchères is a high-water mark. I strongly advise you to take advantage of the special 3-pack pricing.
