Hudelot-Noëllat's Bourgogne Rouge is a perennial back-up-the-truck selection. In 2016, it's sadly not an option. We saw a fraction of what we typically are allotted for this wine. As such, this is only going out to people who have purchased the wine before.

When it comes to everyday Burgundy, Hudelot-Noellat’s Bourgogne Rouge is simply the best. You can’t find another Burgundy at this price that offers as much complexity and pure deliciousness.

Ever since Charles Van Canneyt took over the estate in 2008, the quality of the wines has soared and Hudelot-Noellat has become one of the most sought after Burgundies. The quality of the Bourgogne Rouge is a serious testament to Canneyt’s winemaking ability.

The 2016s are vibrant and deep. It’s a true joy to drink. It's taken me years to find a Bourgogne Rouge I enjoy this much.

I’ll wrap this up. Few producers make such profound and thoroughly enjoyable Bourgogne Rouge. The widespread frost damage in 2016 did not spare Hudelot-Noellat and there is a painfully small amount of this wine to go around. If you’re interested in stocking up, don’t wait.
