The Longues Voyes was one of our favorites of the tasting. We've been waiting to get our hands on enough of the wine for an offer ever since.

Over the past handful of years, Laherte has emerged as one of the most talented growers in Champagne. The majority of Laherte's vines are in Coteaux Sud d’Epernay. The Longues Voyers is a bit of an outlier because it comes from Montagne de Reims.
The Longues Voyes is entirely Pinot Noir and, like all of Laherte's wines, is biodynamically farmed. The wine's name ("The Long Way") refers to both the time that Laherte travels to the site and the 19 months that the wine stays in barrel.
The 2018 has a lovely combination of terroir-soaked honesty and sophistication. This is a majestic Champagne boasting a salty and chalky core with notes of orchard fruits and sweet herbs. There's a sleek drive and crystal-clear focus to the wine that makes it very compelling.
We've consistently been impressed by the 2018 Champagnes that we've tasted. It's a vintage with very few misses. Laherte's Longues Voyes shows the vintage at its best. Especially when the price is factored in, this shouldn't be missed.
