Two of the Mosel’s most soulful growers, old vines, and a classic vintage with exceptional quality but devastating yields.
Warning: There is not much wine to go around this year. If you are interested, please act quickly.
The wines of husband-and-wife team Konstantin Weiser and Alexandra Künstler are always in demand.

Few estates are able to shape wines of such mineral potency, of such ocean-spray freshness, of such clarity and elegance. The wines of Weiser-Künstler are among the purest and most complex wines of the Mosel, yet they are also dense with concentration.
In Germany, 2024 is a classic vintage, a pristine throwback to the cooler vintages of the last quarter-century: 2004, 2008, 2017, and 2021. More than one grower has suggested that perhaps the most appropriate comparison for 2024 is not, in fact, any vintage of the last twenty-five years, but rather, a vintage from the 1990s.
For it is the beautifully diminutive scale of the wines, their near-weightlessness, that makes them feel as if they are time travelers from a colder past. While the vintage has given the wines nervy acidities, these acidities are perfectly woven into the wines themselves; they feel absolutely seamless.
The two single-vineyard wines – the Gaispfad Kabinett Trocken and the Ellergrub Kabinett – are masterpieces of the Mosel. Both come from very old, ungrafted vines and are the epitome of old school Mosel. These are cherries for the in-the-know collector.
But what you will not be able to find is many of these bottles. This may be your only shot.
