For nearly the past decade, Oddero has been in the zone. Even in this context, their 2019s are stunning. Oddero produced some of the most impressive Barolos of the vintage.
When it comes to value in Barolo, Oddero's normale is our go-to. You'd be hard-pressed to find a bottle from anywhere in the world that provides as much complexity, ageability, and overall breeding for the price tag. We expect big things from the normale every vintage, but the 2019 is one of our favorites.
We went deep on the 2019 and we're happy to have another opportunity to offer the wine.
Their 2019 Barolo offers a very compelling combination of serious structure, well-integrated tannins, and complex aromatics. It possesses a clarity of expression with a weightless texture and incredible length. It possesses a class far beyond what its humble price tag might suggest.
Simply put, the wine is profoundly successful. We completely agree with Antonio Galloni when he writes: "What a total delight this is".
