Without Peer, Part Two:
2023 Allemand Cornas Reynard

Posted by Ian McFadden

A couple of weeks ago, we offered Allemand's 2023 Chaillots. Today, we're happy to offer the 2023 Reynard.

Like the previous offer, it's easy to keep this email brief. For decades, Allemand has been one of Cornas' top producers.

Allemand's wines are defined by a singular expressiveness and finesse. These are some of the purest and most finessed Syrahs available today.

Reynard is the old vine bottling that boasts the most intricate density of Allemand's incredibly refined wines.

The 2023 Reynard has a heartbreaking fine-ness, a delicately etched crushed rock minerality, and a rigorous acid spine. In 2023, this is delivered with pitch-perfect and utterly compelling clarity.  Everything is present with a brilliant vividness and jaw-dropping balance. As is usually the case, Reynard offers a staining presence and a walk-on-tip-toe finesse.

I'm going to wrap this up. It's a very modest parcel, and the 2023 Reynard is a gorgeous example of the wine. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
