"Without question the finest wines I have ever tasted... " - Magnum Edition:
2016 Produttori Barbaresco Montestefano Riserva Magnums

Posted by Ian McFadden

Last week, we offered bottles of Produttori's 2016 Montestafano. Today, we're happy to offer very limited magnums.

Produttori del Barbaresco simply nailed the 2016 vintage. With its incredible class and refinement, the Montestefano represents a high point of the 2016 collection.

Montestefano is one of the great sites of Barbaresco. It's a wine that soars with tightly coiled finesse. Montestefano is legendary for how it marries elegance, detail, and intensity.

The 2016 Montestefano has such precision, finesse, and clarity. There's a seamless and silken quality. Galloni sums up the wine very well when he writes: "This profound Barbaresco will thrill readers for years to come."

The 2016 represents a high-water mark for Produttori, which has served as a benchmark since its founding in 1958. Their Montestefano is a monument to Produttori's work in this great vintage. Magnums are the perfect format to ensure graceful aging for decades.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media: "The 2016 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano is another profound wine in this lineup. There is virtually no perception of tannin, as the fruit is so rich and so voluptuous. Dark cherry/plum fruit, spice, menthol, licorice and a whole range of balsamic inflections grow as the Montestefano shows off its class. This profound Barbaresco will thrill readers for years to come."
