Last week, we quickly sold out of the 2006 Grivot Beaux Monts. A surprise?
Nope.
Grivot is one of the old names of Burgundy and Beaux Monts one of the great sites of Vosne. When you combine that with a ludicrous price, well... things happen.
Today, we present the final Grivot bullet we have - and the deal here is even more severe.
While Grivot's 2005 Beaux Monts floats around $150 and the 2009 pushes the $200-mark, today we present a final parcel of Grivot's 2007 Beaux Monts at $64.95.

As with 2006, the story with 2007 is one of delicious, ready-to-drink wines with deep fruit and curvaceous frames, wines relegated to the shadows because of the grandiose structures of the 2005s.
But take note: Aside from 2009, there is no young Burgundy vintage that drinks better than 2007.
Indeed, Grivot's 2007 Vosne-Romanée Beaux Monts is Burgundy at some of its most seductive. This is a wine that combines a rigorous drive with classic Vosne spice and minerality. In 2007, the entire package combines suave breeding with transparency and vividness of fruit.
To compare 07 to 06 Beaux Monts, in 07 you may trade some density for energy, some structure for aromatics and immediate soil expression.The 2007 Grivot Beaux Monts offer up that pristine terroir expression and vivacious fruit that make red Burgundy not only so fascinating, but also so enjoyable.
With ties that date back to French Revolution, the Grivot family has been making wines for five generations.They share marital ties with the likes of Jayer and Piuze and as a result have been bequeathed vineyards in Chambolle and Vosne-Romanée.
Ètienne Grivot is currently at the helm and has been guiding the domaine with increased assurance. Allen Meadows writes, "Etienne Grivot has been on a ‘can’t-miss-roll' since 1998 and his performances are little short of sensational."
Quantities are very limited. As we stated in the 06 Beaux Monts email, the trend for Burgundy prices is only pointing upward. Prices like this are on the wane and you're advised to take advantage while you can.
