The heart and soul of the estate is the Montestefano Cru, which is one of Barbaresco’s best. The vineyard is directly outside of the family’s house. Above all else Montestefano is famous for how it marries elegance, detail, and intensity. It’s a wine that soars with tightly coiled class.


It’s difficult not to be moved by Serafino Rivella’s heartfelt Barberscos. Sadly, finding their Montestefano is often difficult. In a typical vintage, around 750 cases are produced.
