2015 is one of the great red Burgundy vintages of the past three decades. The vintage boasts an incredibly concentrated profile with plentiful, but refined tannins, and a staggering amount of freshness and elegance for such a ripe vintage. It's a dream brew.

Bertheau's style flourished in 2015. The combination of vintage and producer created amazing results. In the 2015, the Bonnes-Mares boasts an incredible intensity and refinement. Bonnes-Mares' power is on display, but it's rendered with a startling amount of subtlety and energy. For all of its restraint, there's explosive aromatics of dark red fruits, floral notes, and orange peel.

Burghound: "Interestingly there is also a touch of sandalwood present here as well on the much more restrained nose of ripe red currant, earth, underbrush and a hint of the sauvage. As one would expect there is more volume, power and intensity to the relatively concentrated medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by moderately firm tannins on the beautifully persistent finish. This too would best be allowed at least 5 to 7 years of cellaring and should reward as many as 10 to 15. This too is very, very impressive."
