Mascarello's Barbera is one of the most compelling examples of the grape. It possesses beautiful savory notes and an unmistakable old-school style.
The 2022 vintage was warm, and the wines show an inclination towards richness. Mascarello's Barbera does a stellar job of balancing the richness of the vintage with their more refined and somewhat stern traditional style.
It has an astonishing depth and textual presence while remaining lively. The wine is delicious and packed with layers of dark cherries and plum, leather, spice, and floral notes.
