The Grande Cuvée is the ultimate expression of Krug; the wine the Maison considers their "Sun," around which all other Krug orbits. They will be the first to admit that Grande Cuvée is not only the wine they are most proud of, but it's also the most difficult and complex to produce.
The 171st edition is composed of a blend of over 130 wines, stretching over twelve vintages from 2000 to 2015. The final result is an inconceivable tapestry of wines woven together to form a seamless Champagne with a unique and captivating signature.
The style of the Grande Cuvée is both rich and delineated. The mouthfeel is amazingly creamy and balanced, with a satiny texture backed by a rigorous and crystalline structure.
