Les Journaries comes from 45-year-old vines from the famed “La Landonne” vineyard. Compared to Chavaroche, Journaries is more elegant and graceful. Both wines are made following unyieldingly traditional methods that highlight the untamed fascination that Northern Rhône wines can possess.

In the warmer 2017 vintage, Les Journaries has an immediacy that its typical fortress-like structure seldom delivers. There's a nice precision and core of finesse. While the structure is buried, it's certainly present and the wine will continue to evolve really well for the next 10-15 years.
