Jamet's Côte-Rôties have few peers in the entire Northern Rhône.
It's pretty much that simple. They are amazingly elegant, precise and clear.
Jamet’s Côte-Rôtie hits a level of gracefulness and agility that’s reminiscent of Burgundy. This is Côte-Rôtie in full glory, flaunting a poise and detailed expression of minerals, herbs, spice, savory elements and florality. The aromatics simply soar.
The 2015 vintage in the Northern Rhône is being hunted down in ways that we haven't seen since 2010. Many seasoned tasters have put 2015 among the most exciting vintages in the past couple decades. Jancis Robinson has written, "Grab northern Rhône 2015 reds with both hands.”
In vintages like 2015, Jamet's Côte-Rôtie is epic and one for the ages. The wines perform extraordinarily well in warm vintages. There's an extra dimension to the wines and a glossy, mineral-stained presence. Given what a distance runner the vintage will be, half-bottles are an especially convenient format to catch the wine on an aging fast-track.
Jamet is one of the top names in the northern Rhône. Finding top wines in half-bottle outside of Bordeaux is very difficult. There's no point dragging this out. I'll just mention that we have a very limited amount of half-bottles, so I'd advise that you move quickly on this.
