"I very much like the balance."

Along with Raveneau's Butteaux and Montée de Tonnerre, Dauvissat's Forest is one of the most sought after and ageworthy 1er Crus.

In Dauvissat's hands, Forest brims with notes of saline-inflected crushed rocks and bright citrus fruits. It's a mesmerizing wine that ages beautifully.

Dauvissat's 2020s are really compelling. They offer up plenty of presence, but what really wins us over is their piercing minerality. There's an agile brightness to the wine that delivers loads of Chablis character and floral and citrus notes.

The 2020 has a jam-packed mid-palate. However, the beauty of the 2020 is how it combines great poise and concentration. There's a riveting, detailed minerality and an impressive, lengthy finish.

Every time we offer Dauvissat's Forest with some age on it, we're slammed by a really strong response. I don't expect this offering to be any different. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.

Burghound: "A highly complex nose combines notes of green apple, citrus rind, sea breeze, petrol and shellfish. There is excellent size, weight and intensity to the more robust and muscular if less refined flavors that brim with dry extract before terminating in a mineral-driven and bone-dry but not really austere finale. I very much like the balance, and this should also age gracefully yet it's not so structured that it couldn't be approached after 5-ish years if desired."
