Few producers in Champagne capture terroir with the level of mastery that Agrapart does. They are riveting and utterly pure expressions of Chardonnay.
L’Avizoise comes from the Grand Cru village of Avize from “up-slope” parcels containing a deep layer of clay-rich topsoil. The resulting wine is one of the most powerful in Agrapart’s lineup.
The 2012 L’Avizoise seamlessly weaves a chalky kinetic verve with brash power. There's lavishness to the wine, but also serious cut. It's really impressive how the wine combines presence and length with exacting focus, lift and finesse.
When L'Avizoise hits on all cylinders, it's a breathtaking bottle. In short, the 2012 is simply killer. I strongly advise that you take advantage of special 3-pack pricing, but you'll want to watch this wine evolve for the next decade.
