I'm very happy to have a second opportunity to offer d'Angerville's 2016 Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Ducs priced sharply at $249.95 per bottle.

D'Angerville's 2.4-hectare monopole Clos des Ducs is one of Volnay's best sites. This steep, chalky site produces wines of singular intensity and breeding. It has no trouble competing with Grand Crus.

The 2016 red Burgundies show an incredible concentration with a cool, mineral-laden profile. D'Angerville, and especially Ducs, thrived under these conditions.

The 2016 Ducs has a level of concentration and structure that leaves little doubt that it will serve as a monument to this great wine. There's power and lift along with utter refinement and a multi-dimensional complexity.

Any fan of d'Angerville, or red Burgundy for that matter, is encouraged to pick up a few bottles and watch the wine evolve beautifully. This is an epic Ducs for the ages.
