Last Chance at a Legend - Sharp Pricing:
2002 Dom Pérignon

Posted by Ian McFadden

2002 is simply an epic DP.

It will go down as one of the most iconic wines that we've seen from them in our time.

Over the past few months, I've had multiple opportunities to taste the 2002. And it's blown me away. It's rare for a wine that I've always thought was special to continue to gain stature in my mind.

There's something otherwordly about 2002 Dom Pérignon. While writing this email, I added a 6-pack to my personal stash. I very much doubt that we'll see pricing even close to this any time soon. Once the 2008 is released in the fall, the market will experience a major reset. This is the time to back-fill.

The 2002 vintage is one of the best vintages in the past 30 years. It's characterized by exquisitely ripe grapes of great concentration, bolstered by plenty of lively elegance. Dom Pérignon simply killed it in this vintage. The 2002 combines layered complex richness with impeccable precision and class. From the moment people started tasting it, people have reached to Montrachet for a comparison. The analogy works to capture 2002's regal intensity along with its precision and tension.

Few wines go through a metamorphosis in the cellar like Dom Pérignon does. It's mind-blowing. The 2002 promises to unwind into something even more beautiful and profound.

I strongly encourage you to take advantage of this offering. Vintages this profound are rare and you're very unlikely to see the 2002 at pricing this sharp again.
