Lauer has an amazing touch with this site. He's able to take all of its power and intensity and combine it with impressive delicacy. This is one of Lauer's signatures in general, but it's on masterful display in the 2015 Saarfeilser.
The wine has an explosive breadth that's backed by an unrelentingly rigorous and firmly mineral streak. Even though this is the most muscular of Lauer's line-up, it walks on tiptoes with finesse and high-toned complexity.
