In any vintage, Roilette's Cuvée Tardive is one of the most loved wines of Beaujolais.
But there's no doubt the 2015 is special.
A few weeks ago we sent an offer on bottles of Roilette's 2015 Cuvée Tardive, and the response was really strong. We're very happy to be able to offer a small parcel of the 2015 Cuvée Tardive in magnum.
Few Beaujolais offer as much value and ageability as Tardive. The 2015 is a seriously structured and intense edition of the wine, one that’s not to be missed in magnum.
For many, 2015 is positioned to be one of the great Beaujolais vintages. To put it in context, the 2015s are richer than the 2014s, but fresher than the 2009s. The wines display plenty of power and concentration with a bright, invigorating backbone.
Tardive has a tendency to shine in riper vintages. In 2015, the wine packs an enormous amount of complexity with a shocking degree of verve and driving acidity.
Roilette's Tardive is sourced from two parcels of eighty-year-old vines perched on the border of Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent, which produces Beaujolais' deepest, most complex and ageworthy wines. While the division between Fleurie and Moulin-à-Vent begins at the tree line, the soils are exactly the same.
We have high hopes that the 2015 is a vintage for the long haul. When you factor in the ageability of Roilette's Tardive, it becomes clear that this is a vintage to buy in magnum. Please give us your ideal order and we'll do our best.
