It's been amazing to watch Collin's wines evolve since their debut in 2004. Olivier Collin worked with Jacques Selosse before returning to his family's domaine in an obscure area that lies between the Côte des Blancs and Sézanne. From the start, the wines were some of the most intriguing and individualistic in Champagne. But since the 2010 vintage, the wines have really entered the zone. Each vintage seems to go from strength to strength.

This is all to say that the past few vintages have been thrilling, and all indications point to the 2013s as being a high point for the domaine. We're getting this offer out early because for fans of Collin, the 2013s shouldn't be missed and we expect them to disappear from the market quickly.

Ulysse Collin is known for producing Champagnes of epic scale and riveting minerality. Pierrières maybe the ideal place to witness Collin's unique style. Its unusual terroir lends a pronounced chalkiness and a lovely, racy finesse to the wine.

Pierrières is a 1.2 ha vineyard located in the village of Vert-Toulon. In Pierrières, the chalk in the vineyard is extremely close to the surface and mixed with black silex.

Pierrières is powerful, racy and penetratingly complex. It covers an incredibly wide range, from layers of citrus to stone fruits, stony minerality, smoke and herbs. There's an amazing radiant expansiveness to the wine.
