The 2014 is a vintage that fans of Côte du Py will want to go deep on. 2014 Beaujolais offers up impressive concentration and structure. There's richness and energy. We haven't seen this combination in such balanced proportions in a long time.
Foillard's 2014 Côte du Py boasts a vivid transparency with lifted wild cherry and floral-tinged notes and nimble finesse. There's a really lovely suave textural element.
There's no doubt that this is a don't-miss vintage of Foillard's Côte du Py. We expect it to age well for the next 5-7 years and beyond. This will likely be our last 2014 Beaujolais offering. We saved one of the best for last.
