I don't know of a Barbera available that offers as much complexity or pays dividends in the cellars like Conterno's.
What separates Conterno's Barbera from the pack is its layered power, and its simultaneous walk-on tip-toes quality. The combination is really amazing, especially after 5-10 years in the cellar.
As Galloni's note above makes clear, the 2020 Barbera is really stunning. It's dense and enveloping, with explosive mid-palate complexity. For all of its textural resonance, there's an electric core that keeps it dynamic.
I'll keep this brief. Few wines of the Piedmont have a following like Conterno's Barbera Francia, and we have a very limited amount. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
