Working without dosage is no small feat in Champagne's northern precincts. All too often, it results in tooth-chattering austerity. Ledru's Extra Brut nails the category. There's tightly coiled energy with polished chalk and brilliant fruit.

The Brut non-vintage is absolutely riveting. There's a lovely purity and finesse along with a sleek kinetic energy.

It's hard to taste one of Ledru's wines without being struck by how heartfelt and painstakingly precise they are. Their two non-vintage wines are an ideal place to witness this.
